Tray Time

Image
I believe that the trays my partner Andrew and I created were not the best. Although they could have been worse. In hindsight we should have spent the time to make a mould for or tray to wrap around rather than use circular iron weights to form the edges. The final result was presentable, I would however use a different technique in the future.

Torus!

The Torus was difficult to wrap my head around initially as I didn't quite understand what reverse curve was... My first attempt involved using the shrinker which was unsuccessful so I used the log, pipe and english wheel instead which resulted in this.

The Blister was probably the most aesthetically satisfying of the the four final products. I enjoyed the process  in which the mould was created as well as the introduction to grasshopper the CNC machine!

The Fruit Bowl!

The Bowl was the first piece created in the workshop. I never had time to finish it off this one on the english wheel but would feel confident in making another, and would enjoy doing so! Here it is holding some avocados and a banana!
